WELCOME TO MS. NEDSET'S CLASS WEEBLY
O
O
Dear Sixth Grade Families,
First of all, I would like to introduce myself to each of you. My name is Ms. Kristin Nedset. I am very excited to begin my 22nd year of teaching at Waterford Graded Schools as your child’s teacher! To me, family is the most important thing in life especially spending time with my four adventurous nephews and neice. In addition, I like to keep myself busy by gardening, paddle boarding in Three Lakes, WI, and finding treasures at a local yard sale.
As we begin a new year together, I look forward to working as collaborators to help your child reach his/her full potential. You are and will continue to be your child’s most important teacher at home. You have had the opportunity to watch your child grow and develop into the youngster he or she is today. You know what makes your child “tick,” laugh and cry, what makes your child so excited one minute and apprehensive the next, what embarrasses him or her, what he/she loves to do, and what is challenging for your child.
In order for me to do the best job I can of nurturing as well as educating your child, your input is very valuable. Please take some time over the next few days to sit back and reflect on your child. I would love for you to write to me about your very special child that you are putting in my care this year. What are the things you, as a parent, would like me to know? I look forward to you sharing this information with me through a link below titled, “Parent Feedback."
My Mission:
My mission is to provide quality instruction to achieve excellence from each and every one of my students in an environment where we can learn together and support each other in achieving learning goals.

I look forward to working with you in meeting your child’s needs.
Sincerely,
Ms. Kristin Nedset

Class Work Guidelines
I believe class work is important because it is a valuable aid in helping students make the most of their experiences in school. I give class work because it reinforces what has been learned in class, prepares students for upcoming lessons, and helps students develop self-discipline, responsibility, and organizational skills.
Students are expected to turn in their class work on time. Those that do not have the assignment completed will be required to get it signed by a parent or guardian. No assignments will be accepted after the unit or chapter is completed.
I understand that on occasion extenuating circumstances may arise for not finishing homework. Simply send a note stating the reason why homework was not completed. The student will then be given extra time to complete the task.
Assessment/projects will be given. Students will receive advance notice to prepare. Quizzes may be given at any time.
I feel that parents are the key to making homework a positive experience for their children. Therefore, I ask you provide support and encouragement. Again, please check Skyward regularly to monitor your child's academic progress and behavior.
